GLASKLAR (Cristal Clear)
This line of work is about perception.
Imagine a situation, a moment, a sensation or even a feeling you have about someone, or imagine a situation in which you have to make an important decision and try to capture the whole process, try to perceive everything that is going on at the same time within you, all the inputs you receive; feelings, sounds, visual impacts and corporal signals. Now try to represent all of this in a bi-dimensional painting. I tried and thought that the result of it should rather look like a transparent, 3 – dimensional shape (a cube or a sphere) with different motives overlapping, interacting and shining through one another. Of course I haven’t got to this yet, but I am working on it.
As a first step, I started working on transparent surfaces with overlapping motives, which give me the possibility to expand the traditional one layer of a painting to some more. For example, front, back, the shadows of the painted subjects projected on the wall beyond, the reflections of the surroundings in the void parts of the transparent base.
