ENGEL UND DÄMONEN (Angels and Demons)

This is an investigation about moral concepts, ideas, beliefs and the forces of the subconscious and archetypical images.
It is inspired by my love for ancient art such as the Greek and Roman sculptures as well as Barrocc and gothic paintings.
Working for some years in the MNAC (Museu Nacional d’Art de Catalunya) I had many hours to observe all these glorious angels and bizarre and scary demons that populate the paintings and I wondered if it would be possible to use this pictorial repertoire to represent more current concerns.
